Notice of Action (NOA)

The official letter your county sends whenever your IHSS case changes — approval, denial, a reduction in hours, or termination of services. A Notice of Action will state the reason for the decision and the deadline by which you must act if you want to appeal it.
Missing the deadline on a Notice of Action is one of the most common reasons people lose hours they may have been entitled to keep — the appeal window is strict and county-enforced.
