Accompaniment to Medical Appointments
What it means in California's IHSS program, in plain English.
← All glossary terms
IHSS time for a provider to take a recipient to and from medical appointments, and to other places where the recipient receives services that substitute for IHSS, and to stay during the visit if the recipient needs help there. It is authorized only when the recipient cannot make the trip alone and the provider is needed for the recipient’s care, not simply as a driver.
