Paramedical Services
What it means in California's IHSS program, in plain English.

A category of IHSS tasks that require services ordinarily performed by a licensed health professional — such as wound care, injections, tube feeding, or suctioning — but that a provider can be trained and authorized to perform at home under a physician's order. Paramedical Services are assessed separately from the standard Functional Index ranks 1 through 5; they're sometimes referred to as a distinct Rank 6 designation.
