← All glossary terms
An optional IHSS benefit that lets an eligible recipient receive a fixed monthly allowance to purchase prepared meals instead of having a provider shop for and cook food at home. It's typically used by recipients who live alone and whose circumstances make in-home meal preparation impractical, and is one of the qualifying circumstances for the IHSS Plus Option pathway.
