Overtime
What it means in California's IHSS program, in plain English.

Pay at one and a half times the regular wage for hours over 40 in a workweek, which IHSS providers have earned since 2016 under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Overtime is only paid within a recipient’s authorized hours and the provider’s workweek limit; a provider can be paid overtime for a single recipient up to the cap, and exceeding the cap is a violation.
